Anisa

Anisa is 19 years old and has started her first semester at Hamzanwadi University, majoring in economics. She would like to continue her education to become a successful business woman and to help to improve her families financial situation. She knows that continuing her education would make her parents proud of her achievements too.

 

Anisa comes from a family of four, with the youngest sibling a sister who is six. To afford the fees of the first semester her father, a farmer, had to sell their cattle to provide sufficient funds. Due to the small income generated by her father they are unable to cover Anisa’s future university costs.

We asked Anisa why education is valuable to women?

​

“Education for women is very important, because this is where a woman will be able to become a successful person, and so that no one can say that a woman cannot be a leader, because leadership is only suitable for men. Therefore, let's prove that a woman is capable of dreaming higher and becoming a leader by by being as educated as possible.”
