Our Journey with Watul
Niswatul (Watul) was 17 years old and a student in her last year of High School when we got in touch. She was one of the top students in her year and hoped to have the opportunity to go to university to continue her education to gain more knowledge and to develop herself further. She was keen to study accounting at Mataram University.

Her dream of going to university after completing school was not easy to fulfil since her parents could not afford to pay for this. Her father is a small farmer and is just manages to support his family.
​
We were able to find a sponsor for Watul and she attended Mataram State University studying Economics, Business and Accounting. She excelled at her studies and after her first semester she won a scholarship which covered the cost of further years of her education. Well done Watul!!

Without her initial sponsor Watul would not have had a chance to start university and apply for the scholarship. Watul is very grateful to her sponsor.

More Recently
She is now 23 years old and finalising her thesis before graduating in Business, majoring in Economics. She is hoping to find a job and develop a career in accounting.
Aside from her university studies, she is passionate about learning in other areas. She has been involved in scouts, the Indonesian Red Cross as well as English learning groups - she speaks English well.

We are very proud of Watul applying herself and managing to secure her scholarship.
