Ifana

Ifana is a bright 17 year old high school student, active in different groups at school including scouts. She lives with her parents and her younger sister. Her parents work mainly as farm labourers, earning a small income that isnt enough to finance a university education.

Ifana still dreams of going to university. She hopes to attend Islamic State University or Rinjani University to study civil engineering. She chose civil engineering because she finds it  interesting and useful, with its focus on designing and building infrastructure.

We asked Ifana why education is valuable to women?

“If I can continue my education I hope I can have a better future, elevate my family’s dignity and contribute to developing my country through civil engineering projects."
